Simply attach the Blender by turning your Assistent Original onto its side. The jug has a capacity of 1.5 liters, with a recommended maximum volume of 1.3 liters during use.
The tamper helps guide ingredients down towards the blades and makes it easy to work with everything from chopped chocolate to creamy hummus.
Made from durable Tritan plastic, the Blender is both BPA-free and shatterproof, giving you a safe and long-lasting kitchen companion. For extra safety, always keep one hand on the lid while blending.

FAQ
Can I blend hot soup in the Ankarsrum blender?
Yes, but you should be very careful when blending hot liquids. For safety reasons, we do not recommend blending boiling soup in the Ankarsrum blender. Hot liquids can create pressure inside the blender jar, which may cause the lid to lift or hot contents to splash when blending. Extremely high temperatures can also put unnecessary stress on the blender components.
Why can’t I run the Ankarsrum blender for more than 3 minutes with liquids or 4 minutes with dry ingredients?
The recommended maximum running times are designed to protect the blender and ensure optimal performance. Blending generates heat in both the motor and the ingredients. Continuous operation beyond the recommended limits can cause the blender to overheat, which may reduce performance and increase wear over time.
How and when should I use the blender tamper?
The blender tamper is designed to help move ingredients toward the blades when blending thick mixtures such as smoothies, nut butters, hummus, frozen fruits, or other dense ingredients. To use the tamper, first stop the blender and remove the small measuring cap from the lid. Insert the tamper through the opening and use it to gently push ingredients down toward the blades or stir the mixture if needed. Always keep the lid in place while using the tamper.
What is the RPM range of the Ankarsrum blender?
The Ankarsrum blender operates at a speed range of approximately 3,500–12,000 RPM (revolutions per minute) when used with the 1500 W Ankarsrum Assistent Original. The variable speed control allows you to adjust the blending intensity depending on the task. Use lower speeds for gentle mixing and higher speeds for smoothies, sauces, soups, and other ingredients that require a smoother consistency.
Can I crush ice in the Ankarsrum blender?
Yes, the Ankarsrum blender is strong enough to crush ice. The durable Tritan™ blender jar is designed to handle hard ingredients. Keep in mind that the ice is typically blended into a fine, snow-like consistency rather than larger crushed ice pieces.
